Terms and Conditions
Clients will normally be interviewed in their own homes or at an alternative appropriate location, the interview usually lasting from 2 to 4 hours. A report is then prepared, taking between 10 and 24 hours, depending upon the nature of the case. Reports will normally be submitted within 6-8 weeks of instructions being received, subject to availability of client for interview.
Charges are based on hourly rates for client contact and report preparation, travel time and attendance in Court or Tribunal. Mileage costs will be added, based on the fastest route by car to the client's premises. Any additional items such as rail or air travel and overnight accommodation will be charged at cost.
A 30% surcharge will be applied to urgently required reports (within 4 weeks of instructions being received, subject to availability of client for interview).
A fee will be charged for work already undertaken in preparation for scheduled Court attendance if, in the event, no attendance is required.
Invoicing is upon completion of report. Payment is required in full within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed. Interest may be charged on accounts outstanding after 60 days.
VAT is chargeable at standard rate on all medico-legal rehabilitation cost consultancy and at zero rate for occupational therapy assessment and treatment.
